The Gospel of Christ Video Transcript
I’m so glad that you came over to the website to hear the gospel of Christ because God’s story, the story of Jesus, is the reason why I exist. And He is the best part of me. And I love Him so much. And His story is why I’m here. So I’m so excited to share that story with you.
That story begins when God created man. He created us to be perfect. And unfortunately we sinned – Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. It created a veil. It created a barrier between us and God. And we were no longer able to have one-on-one communication with Him. And so for centuries man had to sacrifice lambs and goats to cover their sins because God is a God of justice and there needs to be payment for sin before we’re able to communicate with Him.
And God saw fit to say “You know what, I don’t need all these different animal sacrifices anymore. I’m going to send one sacrifice. One perfect, beautiful sacrifice to cover the sins that any man or woman or child will ever commit. And [the sacrifice’s] name is Jesus.”
Jesus is the Son of God, born perfectly, and He came on this earth and He died on a cross to cover my sins and your sins and any other person’s sins who will ever or has ever existed. And by believing in the name of Jesus, by believing what He did for us, we are granted perfection. We are granted salvation in the eyes of Christ. We are granted an eternity in heaven with our Lord and Savior. Because He washed away everything we’ve ever done wrong.
It’s kind of like this. In a courtroom if a woman or a man does something wrong in the eyes of the law and they are put into court, they have a defense attorney, they have the prosecutor and they have the judge. The prosecutor is the devil, the judge is God, and our defense attorney is either ourselves… or it’s Jesus.
And as we stand in front of the Judge and He reads what we have done wrong back to us, two things will happen. Either the prosecutor will say, “Judge, that man or that woman has done all those things wrong and therefore they deserve an eternity in hell.” And the Judge (God) will answer “Well you did do those things wrong and you have to pay for your sins so yes, you will be given an eternity in hell.”
OR, the Judge will read our sins, the prosecutor will say “this man or woman has done many things wrong and they deserve an eternity in hell,” and Jesus, our defense lawyer, will stand up and say “NO. I already served her time. Her sins are covered by the blood of the Lamb and paid for. And therefore she should be allowed into an eternity of paradise in heaven with You Lord.”
So that’s the choice we have to make. Either we accept Jesus as our defense lawyer, as our personal Lord and Savior, as our best friend because He died on a cross because He loves us so much, or we decide to wing it and try to defend ourselves and ultimately end up in an eternity in hell away from God.
It’s our choice to make. And if you want to make the decision to accept Jesus into your life today, then this is the prayer that I’d like you to pray with me.
Dear Jesus,
I accept You into my life today. I know You died for my sins, and I dedicate my eternity to serving You. I believe in You, Jesus. I thank You for the sacrifice You made simply because You love me. And I promise to spend the rest of my life making You look good.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
A-men.
Now my friend, if you prayed that prayer, go on Google, find a local church in your area and get over there, introduce yourself, get baptized, get in the word of God and start living a life of beauty and light.
Because serving Jesus is the best part of me. It is amazing and fulfilling and freeing. And I pray that your journey is full of joy and grace and love because that’s who God is.
So God bless you, and if you have any questions, please get in touch with me by emailing me or Facebooking me or just call me. I love you and I’m praying for you.
God bless you.
